In Wildschönau
The Roggenboden is a small, manageable ski area in the ski jewel Alpbachtal Wildschönau. Here you can sit comfortably on our sun terrace with restaurant while your children enjoy the fun on the slopes. Of course, you have everything at a glance.
The two drag lifts Riedmann lift I and Riedmann lift II were completely rebuilt in 2012 and offer the most modern comfort. From the wide blue beginner slope to the black steep slope, there is something for every ability.
Even if Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate, our slopes are always in top condition thanks to the snowmaking system. Grandpa Sepp has always taken care of this. The free ski bus takes you comfortably from the villages of Wildschönau directly to our Roggenboden ski area.
The local ski school is always available to help you learn and improve your skills. Clear and yet very varied. There’s something for everyone…
You can learn pretty much all types of skiing with our top ski instructors Alois and Sebastian. Whether young or old, professional or beginner: There is something new for everyone here. Kids learn the art of skiing with ease, and the magic carpet helps a little with that.
From individual to group lessons, everything is possible. The group lessons at the ski school at Roggenboden are of course kept small, so that the ski instructors can look after each person individually.

The Roggenboden has been very popular for school ski courses in the Wildschönau high valley for more than 30 years. Wide, flat slopes are ideal for initial exercises with pupils.
Each lift allows you to also get off in the middle, giving you four different options for increasing the level. The entire area is very clearly visible, so that no one gets lost.
The spacious, heated lunch package room is available free of charge at any time. Of course, we also offer a paved bus parking area with sufficient turning space. In our restaurant we also offer lunch for school ski groups at very attractive prices.
All Ski jewel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski passes are valid at Roggenboden and are available at our ski pass cash desk. There are also reduced day tickets and the very popular points card at Roggenboden. (10 or 40 rides)
Payment for ski passes for school ski courses can also be made retrospectively by bank transfer. You can view each piste as a video by clicking on our interactive ski map.
If you by evening you have not had enough of skiing, Roggenboden is the place for you. The entire area is brightly lit in the evening and offers an indescribable atmosphere. The evening then ends with après-ski.
Night tobogganing and night skiing takes place every Wednesday and Thursday. On all other days on request. Registration is absolutely necessary.

The thrill of the evening
You can ride on a toboggan run and a specially prepared, snow-covered toboggan run. We do not use normal standard toboggans, but specially developed toboggans with skis and a special hook construction for easy and comfortable ascent by lift.
The entire toboggan run is free of obstacles and is completely padded with soft mats at the finish line. This makes the toboggan run at Roggenboden one of the safest toboggan runs in Tyrol.

Getting there
If you come from Niederau and continue to Oberau, there is a petrol station at the end of Oberau. 20 m after the petrol station turn left towards Roggenboden. The free ski bus conveniently takes you to Roggenboden. Paved parking spaces for buses and cars as well as a parking garage are available free of charge!
Ski pass Roggenboden, Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, Snowcard Tirol and Kitzbüheler Alpen All Star Card valid during the day at Roggenboden. All ski passes are available at the ticket office at Roggenboden.
